Honda Civic Dual Dash Cam Install- Wiring

🔌 Two Power Wiring Options for the Dash Cam

Your dash cam supports two different power wiring methods, depending on whether you want to enable Parking Monitoring or keep the installation simpler.

  • ✅ Option 1: Map Light Power Supply (Simplified Installation)

      • Requires removing the map light cover.
      • Connects to interior wiring, typically only powers the dash cam while the car is on.
      • Parking Monitoring is not available with this method.
  • 🚗 Option 2: Fuse Box Connection (Recommended for Full Functionality)

      • No need to remove the map light.
      • Connect the dash cam's hardwire kit directly to the fuse box, using two fuse taps:
        • 🔋 Battery fuse socket: Always supplies 12V power, even when the car is off.
        • 🔑 ACC fuse socket: Only supplies power when the car is turned on.
      • When the ACC fuse loses power (car turns off), the dash cam automatically switches to battery power and enters Parking Monitoring mode.
      • Parking Monitoring can be enabled or disabled in the dash cam app.
